The purpose of the study is to discuss instructional design and technology (IDT) models for developing instructional design or design environments based on philosophical approaches of educational technology and new technologies. For this purpose, the study begins with discussing IDT models to define history of educational technology or instructional technology theories, and also to indicate definitions and developments on instructional strategies, learning environments and new technologies.
In the study, researchers discuss the type of strategies and steps in instructional design models that a design team in environments should follow for designing learning environments in industry, business and military based on philosophy of educational technology and newest technologies, which gives way to effective learning environments. The steps include history of instructional-educational technology, recognizing terminology in educational technology concepts, performance technology, new humanism, psychological and instructional foundations in instructional design (ID) as well as educational technology approaches in the different fields. To recap, our purpose is to combine necessary IDT models strategies for the pedagogical design of learning environments with new technologies. We also discuss about powerful IDT models to meet the very high expectation of artificial intelligence, digital, mobile and new humanist education. To develop a high quality of learning environment, we will explain technology design steps and practice to improve learning tasks, complex cognitive skills, attitudes, motivation and competences in the future trends of educational technology and future learning. At the end of the study, conventional and integrated technologies in e-learning, digital education, and human learning, including pedagogical, technological and organizational, and main barriers of implementation will be discussed. After that, new paradigms in educational technology field will be addressed to indicate IDT procedures in instructional development process as a team project management with perspectives, such as student model, pedagogy model, teacher-designer, learning materials, digital education, epistemology in educational technology, courseware design, new technologies, team project management in ID, and context setting will be discussed and presented based on foundations of IDT and philosophy of educational technology around the world.
