The Internet, Today’s major source of knowledge, brings out some problems for students. Therefore, conscious internet usage i.e. awareness of the information found on the internet is important. In this context, the awareness of secondary school students about the information they found on Internet is researched. The survey carried out with the participation of 200 secondary school students via a 33-item questionnaire. Result of this study revealed that students are partially aware of the knowledge found on the Internet; in fact they are in the rush of finishing homework, they attach importance to different issues in terms of the reliability and accuracy of the information with the control and usage of the information and follow different strategies. Although the conscious of the information reached by the Internet does not vary according to gender and the presence of internet at home, it varies in accordance with average time spent online. The variation includes the fact that students spent time 60 minutes or above on Internet are less aware of their findings.
