In the 21st century, it is aimed that every student is a code-literate individual. Coding and robotics programming courses have been added to primary and secondary school curriculum for students to gain these skills. The coding training applicable to many countries has been applied in our country. Almost a large majority of students are getting to know tablets, computers, mobile phones before they go to school. These technologies can also be considered as environments where students can code. At this point, it is important that the students are directed to the relevant field. This task can be seen under the responsibility of primary school teachers. From this point of view, it is important to determine the thinking about coding education of the primary school teachers who will support this education in their lessons. In this research, it is aimed to examine the opinions of primary school teachers about coding education. The research was carried out with primary school teachers in Diyarbakırlı Ekrem Ergün Primary School, who started coding education in primary school in Çanakkale in 2017-2018 educational period. Face-to-face interviews were held with primary school teachers. In the survey, a semi-structured interview forms were used. Findings reveal that teachers see coding education as a necessity, they are aware of the tools they will use in coding education, and that coding education will affect the academic achievement of students. In addition, this course has been achieved as a result that students will firstly develop algorithmic thinking skills and creativity.
